"At the 11th hour, Julia Jackson agreed, with enthusiasm, to work my first ever fundraiser, for Equality Marriage. As soon as she arrived, the group energy shifted. Julia is highly personable, grounded, and real, in every respect. She chatted up the folks before the show, using her heart, her curiosity, and her incredible mind. It was fire and comedy at its finest. She not only rocked the house, but with her utter charm and unsurpassable wit, she provided insight into today's cultural issues, in the funniest way I've seen since Lily Tomlin and Whoopi Goldberg. Julia is, indeed, in this league of national treasusres. Folks from City Hall ran late to subsequent appointments, in order to see Julia's set to the end. All of us faced a dilemma, however: do I stay in my seat, because I don't want to miss a single moment of this act, or do I run to the bathroom every five minutes, because I'm laughing so damn hard! You decide...."

Her indomitable spirit shines through as she entertains, tells stories and educates us all on the human condition.  If we are all to be lead by example, then Julia shows us that no matter who we are or how we identify ourselves, we should all Stand Up, Stand Out, Stand Proud!"
